BDS movement’s theory of change

The BDS movement understands that the Israeli regime of settler-colonialism, apartheid and military occupation against Palestinians derives its strength primarily from the complicity and support of governments, corporations and institutions. Our theory of change, then, can be summed up as building sufficient power – people power at the grassroots, cultural, academic and civil society levels – to:

(1) end corporate and institutional complicity, and

(2) influence the policymaking level to ultimately end state complicity in Israel’s system of oppression.

Whatever your background, you’re here because you’re interested in the BDS movement.

Explore ways to get involved below. Help end complicity or change policy in your grassroots group, collective, association, trade union, city council, parliament, college, other institutions, or even government.
