●The eradication of Palestinian society and the destruction of Palestine began in the 1940s and culminated in 1948 when innumerable Palestinians were killed and displaced, and the State of Israel was formed.
●In 1967 during the Six-Day War, Israel continued its conquest and captured the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip, and other territories, expelling hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Israel’s occupation of these Palestinian territories and their settlements were later deemed illegal by the International Court of Justice.
●Gaza has, for decades, faced repeated blockades and military offensives, fuelling conflict, resistance, and international condemnation.
●Notwithstanding, peace efforts repeatedly fail to resolve the core issues of sovereignty, breaches of international law and the preservation of human rights.
